Council delegates and staff aim to reach the following objectives:

To provide a centralised forum for the negotiation of conditions of employment by elected delegates.
To actively promote an understanding of the roles of the Bargaining Council to all stakeholders.
To oversee the administration of the Bargaining Council on the basis of a trusteeship of Industry moneys and to pro-actively ensure the continuity of the funding of benefits to meet future requirements.
